I can help you successfully resolve disputes with in-person or on-line mediation, early planned two-stage mediation, and appellate mediation. I can also help you anticipate and avoid issues by helping to identify where conflicts and disputes might breed in an organization or business environment.
I have participated in mediations as a mediator, party participant, observer, consultant and co-mediator. I have my own style, but I have been mentored by some of the leading mediators in DFW. My professional experience is deep and I have completed over 300 hours of mediation self-study and formal training including Basic Mediation Training, the ABA Advanced Mediation & Advocacy Skills Institute, and the American Institute of Mediation course on Mediating Commercial and Litigated Cases.

Experience
With significant experience in private practice and in several GC roles, (including fourteen years as GC for a Fortune 500 company) I have experienced litigation and mediation as a plaintiff, a defendant, an observer, and a third-party. I strive to understand each dispute from every angle and know that every side has a right, and a need, to be heard. Listening to the parties and their counsel to find a smart resolution is the focus of my mediations . . . because helping to find resolution of a dispute in a smart, efficient, confidential and effective way is my goal.
Parties are almost always searching for ways to reduce costs and contain risk. Mediation can help. Successful mediations require (i) effective preparation, (ii) active participation by all participants, and (iii) an process tailored for the needs of the parties to address the dispute at hand. I can deliver on all counts.
